Kim Kardashian Skincare

Ever since Kim Kardashian West launched her Kim Kardashian skincare line in June 2018, millions of people have been curious about the products, especially because they come with sky-high price tags (retail prices range from $60 to $145). While the makeup category of KKW Beauty might be easier to understand, there’s more to the skincare category than meets the eye. So what are these products like? Are they worth your money? And how can you incorporate them into your daily routine without breaking the bank?

Kim Kardashian Skincare

With an estimated net worth of $145 million, it is hard to deny that reality TV star, entrepreneur, and social media icon Kim Kardashian West has had a successful career. But after launching her beauty line Kim Kardashian skincare or you say skkn by kim in late 2015, Kardashian Beauty hit the ground running and quickly gained a following of customers who were thrilled with its rapid success. The company grossed an estimated $14 million in sales in just three months alone.

The Price

It’s difficult to get an accurate price for Kim Kardashian skincare line since it varies by country. Kim Kardashian skincare Prices in Europe range from €30-40 ($34-USD 46) for a small bottle, while in Australia they cost AU$36 (US$27). In the United States, she charges $48 per 3.4-ounce bottle. In addition, the products are only available on the website and can’t be found at any major retailers like Ulta or Sephora. The shipping is also expensive; it costs 15 dollars internationally and 8 dollars domestically for first class shipping with no insurance.

The Ingredients

The Essential Face Wash of Kim Kardashian skincare contains oils that naturally and gently cleanse your skin. These ingredients include rose hip oil, grape seed oil, and sunflower seed oil which are all natural moisturizers that deeply penetrate your skin to hydrate and balance it. The Essential Face Mask is made of all-natural ingredients including activated charcoal, kaolin clay, zinc oxide, and lavender oil. All of these extracts work together to deeply cleanse and detoxify the pores for a brighter complexion. The essential facial moisturizer has plant-based and herbal ingredients that provide a protective barrier on your skin while also reducing inflammation.

The essential eye cream has anti-aging benefits such as evening out fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles under the eyes, and puffiness with antioxidants such as organic olive oil extract to reduce damage from free radicals. Lastly, the essential lip treatment nourishes lips with botanical extracts like shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax without leaving an oily residue on lips or stickiness on fingers.

The Packaging

The set of Kim Kardashian skincare is contained in a white and pink bubblegum-looking box with Kourt written in pink cursive across the top. The same font is used on each product, so if you lose one bottle of lotion you’ll know which one to replace it with. The products are packaged similarly to many other beauty companies in that they come encased in plastic wrap and thin cardboard, but if you’re eco-conscious you’ll be pleased to see it’s all recyclable.

There are three jars of face cream, two tubes of lip balm, and one sheet mask in the box. It seems like a fair amount for USD 95 or CAD 105 considering they’ve got everything from moisturizer to eye cream. The jar containing lotion can also be used as a nightstand or desk organizer!

What Skin Treatment does Kim Kardashian Use?

Kim K. created a skincare line to help us combat our dry skin this winter and promote healthy-looking skin all year round. This skincare line is available in four different products: Anti-Pollution Mattifying Cream, Double Defense Facial Serum, KKW Beauty Cream Contour Kit, and Priming Moisturizer w/ SPF 35 Sunscreen. I’m very picky when it comes to face creams and serums because my sensitive skin doesn’t react well with a lot of ingredients.

I was pleasantly surprised that my skin reacted well to every product I tried! My favorite product out of the four is probably the Anti-Pollution Mattifying Cream because it not only helps me keep my makeup from running but also helps moisturize the dry patches on my face from the cold weather without feeling greasy or heavy.

Kardashians & Skincare Regime

The Kardashians are all about looking young, so they probably wouldn’t go to such extremes as chemical peels. But their line of skincare includes anti-aging ingredients that can be beneficial in slowing down aging and promoting healthy skin.

Kim Kardashian Skincare Pros & Cons

  • The one thing I love about all of these products is that they have very simple and easy-to-remember names. I also really like that there are four different steps to the process because it helps me know what my skin needs when it feels or looks different on a given day.
  • All of these products contain antioxidants and emollients, which means I can just put them on in the morning after I’ve washed my face, and then apply my makeup right over them.
  • It’s an easy way to make sure my skin is always moisturized without having to worry about adding lotion or oils throughout the day.
  • Another pro for me is that I am not allergic to any of these products, and every time I use them I feel less oily than normal.

  • I’ve heard a lot of people rave about her skincare line, but there are a few big downsides to it that might deter you from making a purchase.
  • One downside is the cost. The most expensive product in her skincare line costs $150, which doesn’t seem like much, but if you use it every day then it will run out quickly.
  • Another downside is that she uses fragrances and essential oils in many of her products. Essential oils can be irritating for some people so this may not be an option for them.

Kim Kardashian Skincare Conclusion

Overall, it seems like Kim Kardashian skincare offers a well-rounded line that would be beneficial for most skin types. If you’re looking for serums and creams that are affordable, gentle on your skin, and do what they claim to do without a lot of added frills, then these products might be for you. However, if you’re someone who wants fewer but more specialized products (especially with ingredients aimed toward specific skin concerns), then it might be wise to look elsewhere.
